One of the things people love about Lake Chelan is that there’s so much to see and do here. Just a glimpse of the mountains and the sparkling lake immediately conjures images of activities such as hiking, swimming, and fishing. And that’s not to mention all the other things you can do here, from checking out local farmers’ markets to sampling the best of what the restaurants have to offer.

If you’re heading up here with your pets, you’ll be happy to know that there’s quite a lot of places that will welcome your furry friend. Here’s a quick rundown of all the dog-friendly Lake Chelan activities and places you can check out.

  • Visit Blueberry Hills Restaurant and Farm.
  • Located in Manson along the banks of Lake Chelan, the farm allows guests to pick their own blueberries (they have 18 varieties), with a restaurant serving up country fare. Your dog will be treated like your own little buddy. They’ll literally throw your dog a bone – a frozen beef marrow bone – that your pet can gnaw on while you enjoy your meal.

  • Traverse the Echo Ridge trails
  • Echo Ridge is located 20 minutes north of the Mountain View Lodge and Resort along the Cascade Loop. It features more than 26 miles of trails, with the Tootsy Roll, Whoop-Di-Do, Lolly Pop, Zoom, and Outback ski trails being pet-friendly trails. A day pass costs $15 for adults.

  • Head out to see Clara and Marion Lakes
  • Located near Wenatchee, both lakes take you on a 2.9-mile trek from the parking lot entrance for the Mission Ridge Ski Area. The trail is open to dogs as long as they’re leashed.

  • Check out the local wineries
  • We can’t name just one because practically all of them would welcome your dog as a guest! Vin Du Lac in Chelan is happy to have your dog tag along with you as you sample their wines or enjoy live music during the summer. Lake Chelan Winery’s BBQ in the Vineyard, which reopens every spring, is a great place to grab great barbecue and burgers while you and your dog enjoy the amazing views.

  • Seek out other restaurants in town
  • Quite a few restaurants in Lake Chelan are dog-friendly, including Local Myth Pizza; Tin Lilly, which allows dogs on the front patio; Even Keel Roadhouse, which welcomes dogs on their outdoor lawn area; and Quick Wok, which has outdoor tables for you and your dog.

Whether you’re moving to the area permanently or just visiting Lake Chelan, you want your pets to have as much of a fun as you will. Look into boat rental services that allow dogs on board.
